B+W Positive Film 2017-2022
Shot mainly on HP5 at ISO800 for reverse processed to become a black and white positive slide. They recommended to shoot HP5 on 800ASA and I immediately fell in love. I would lovingly mount slides in a white cardboard slide holder and then use a fine tip black marker to label important information. It was a weird, slow and expensive process that I loved. It was the slowest that I had ever shot because the process was so absurd. This series only ended because the one lab that did this very specific developing process announced its closure in 2022. I think I would have used this process forever.

Peel-Apart Instant SHOTS 2005-2020
These images are on FP-100C, FP-100b, FP-3000B and Polaroid 669 film. They were shot on a Land 250, a Holgaroid, and a Mamiya w/a Polaroid back (600 SE). A few were printed with either a Vivitar slide printer or with a Daylab Copy System. I was in love with FP-3000b peel-apart film. It stopped being manufactured in ———. It was a B&W 3000 ISO and very inexpensive. And gorgeous. Most of my Holgaroid pictures were shot on that film. My wife, Maia, sewed a special dark bag that the camera could be in (even while shooting) so as to reduce the camera’s many light leaks. I then mostly shot on FP-100B, a B&W 100 ISO instant film. Then FP-100C, a 100 ISO color film. It ended production in ———-, but I had built up a small stockpile of it and used it sparingly up to 2022.

35mm Prints 2003-2019
Silver Gelatin prints (B&W) and C-Prints (Color) from 35mm color negatives. I printed the B&W images in a darkroom. I shot almost all of these on a Nikon N80. There is a lot of 3200 B&W film and 800 speed color films involved in this group.
